Our Breeding Program
The Hereford cow herd today consists of a select group of females that have survived a rigid culling process over the past nine years. Only the most fertile, best producers remain and they are all daughters or granddaughters of some of the breed's great AI sires. These include daughters and grand daughters of two time Denver champion, Remitall Online 122L, Denver champion C Game Day, Remitall Governor 236G, Remitall Embracer 8E, VCR East Kodiak 506E, CL1 Domino 9126J, CS Boomer 29F, Remitall Highway ET 157H, and PW Victor Boomer P606.
All cows and heifers are fall calving and are bred in December once AI then our top indexing yearling bull is turned in with the cows. Over the last 9 years, our first service conception rate has been between 60% and 80%, so our herd bulls don't have a lot of work to do.

FIVE H MISS KODIAK 23
This is probably the best cow we have bred to date . Five H Miss Kodiak 23 is just the kind we like all of our cows to be like. Her first bull calf by MH Dakota 0230 was 2006 Polled Performance Bull Champion at California State Fair, Her second calf, Five H Heisman 62 is the best calf we have produced and many others have thought so too as he was Fall Bull Calf Champion at the 2007 CA State Fair and Reserve Fall Bull Calf Champion at the 2007 Reno Nugget National.
Her 2007 calf by Online is her highest weaning calf so far and weighed recently 935 pounds at 260 days.
She is due in September 2009 to H Easy Deal 609 ET whose first calves are looking great! Miss Kodiak represents the best of Kodiak breeding and is double bred Felton on the bottom side of her pedigree which shows in her milking ability and her being to wean heavy calves on mainly native pasture.

SB 29F FAITH 204R ET
This cow was one of the most sought after donor prospects in the 2006 Split Butte sale. Her sire CS Boomer 29F makes some of the best females in the breed and her dam and grand dam have been some of Split Butte's top donors for year's producing thousands of dollars of calves. Faith 204R combines power with the milking ability and performance necessary in today's Hereford cattle. Her February 2009 bull calf by H Easy Deal 609ET may be our best calf yet.
